I heartily congratulate the Country Vice President, the Executive Officers and all members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, on occasion of their Annual General Conference taking place in Abuja.
That FIDA is famously known for championing the cause of protection of Child’s Rights and the fight against domestic and gender based violence is an indisputable fact.
However, I commend FIDA both in Nigeria and globally to pay more attention to advocacy towards curtailing the unpleasant surge in teenage pregnancy and child marriage. The very obnoxious practice of child marriage must be eliminated to safeguard the future of the girl child and invariably the world.
I cannot but continuously appreciate FIDA and her members for their selfless services to humanity.
I wish the participants fruitful deliberations and a most successful Conference and journey mercies to and fro Abuja.
