Joyce Oduah: Perfect Fit for General Secretary, NBA – D.S. SANUSI

I have always prioritized quality service, innovative mindset and added value whenever I need to make the right choice in an election.
JOYCE ODUAH ticks all those boxes.

There was a time when the revenue of NBA branches fell short significantly of what was due. That time before you could get your 10% remittance from the NBA you have to manually submit the tellers of Branch members who paid Bar Practising Fees(BPF) Because a large number of Branches could not get or send in good time the tellers of every member who made such payment, some NBA Branches lost much of such remittances at the end of the day. Even those that received same got far below what they were entitled to
What did JOYCE do?
She introduced the code system so that as an NBA member pays BPF it is automatically captured for a particular Branch.
Before that innovation Lagos Branch for example usually received just above 400,000 naira. With the innovation by Joyce the 10% remittance to Lagos Branch increased to 6.05 million and 13.5 million Naira. THAT WAS JOYCE

In this Bar election, the question is why vote for less when you can actually get more value on the NBA national executive committee.
Beyond recording minutes the duties of the General Secretary require deep understanding of the working of the NBA at the national level and ability to relate optimally with other national officers. Joyce Oduah is a former national officer of the NBA. As someone who started her career as a corporate counsel she is familiar with corporate Secretarial duties and responsibilities. In the NBA she started out as a Rapporteur nearly thirty years ago and has served and assisted in Secretarial roles in the NBA since then. She is a mother of a young wig so she understands first hand issues surrounding the welfare of young lawyers and will always ensure that those issues are not forgotten at the decision table.

What more do we need?
