Osborn Umahi, son of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has joined his father in mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Photographs from a political gathering showed Osborn alongside his father and other participants as political mobilisation efforts continue in the South-East in preparation for the forthcoming elections.
David Umahi, a prominent supporter of Tinubu’s second-term ambition, had expressed confidence that the President and Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, would secure re-election in 2027.
Speaking in Abakaliki on Sunday, the minister predicted that both leaders would secure 95 per cent of the votes in their respective elections.
“President Bola Tinubu is going to win a second term. Governor Francis Nwifuru is going to win a second term,” Umahi said.
The minister also indicated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would intensify its grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections, including direct engagement with voters in their homes.
“They will go to people’s homes early in the morning and share their messages,” he said.
Osborn’s appearance at the gathering comes as political activities and preparations for the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
However, no official details have been announced regarding whether Osborn Umahi holds a formal position within the presidential campaign structure or has been assigned specific mobilisation responsibilities.
