During the ongoing trial concerning the alleged ₦110.4 billion fraud involving former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) witness detailed how substantial monthly inflows originated directly from Kogi local government accounts.
The testimony shed further light on the intricate money trail, outlining how funds moved through intermediary channels before being funneled into private accounts and used for foreign exchange transactions.
Following the conclusion of testimony and the absence of re-examination by the prosecution, Justice Maryanne Anineh discharged the witness and adjourned the trial to November 24, December 2, and December 8, 2026, for further proceedings.
