Bizplus Consulting Services Limited has formally petitioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling for an independent investigation and the suspension of the judicial clearance of the Director of Enforcement at the FCT High Court, Chukwuemeka Tony Ubani, over allegations of administrative misconduct and professional impropriety.

The petition, spearheaded by the company’s Group Executive Chairman and CEO, Dr. Maurice Ibe, follows a contentious legal dispute surrounding the execution of a judgment debt involving the Benue State Government.

Key Highlights of the Petition:

  • The Underlying Dispute: Bizplus, acting as the judgment creditor in Suit No. FCT/HC/CV/3693/2025 against the Benue State Government, accused the enforcement director of administrative contradictions regarding police deployment for enforcement operations tied to a garnishee order absolute.
  • Demands for Integrity in Appointments: The petitioner argued that candidates elevated to the bench must possess unblemished institutional records, urging President Tinubu, the National Judicial Council (NJC), and the FCT Judicial Service Committee to thoroughly probe the allegations before any judicial advancement.
  • Subsequent Legal Actions: While a related Federal High Court suit seeking to legally block the director’s screening process was recently dismissed following a notice of discontinuance filed by the plaintiff, the administrative petitions submitted to executive and judicial oversight bodies remain a central point of contention.
