Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has announced plans to launch a digital platform that will allow Nigerians to question his political record, examine his policy proposals and seek clarification on his plans for the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The platform, known as Ask AA, is designed to provide a direct channel through which citizens can engage with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate on issues affecting the country.

The platform is scheduled to go live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026. It will enable Nigerians to submit questions on key national issues, including the economy, security, job creation, technology and the rising cost of living.

Atiku is expected to respond personally to questions submitted through the platform, with assistance from members of his media team.

The initiative is also expected to give selected participants an opportunity to speak directly with the former vice-president through telephone calls. Atiku said he intends to contact some participants who provide their contact details to hear about their experiences and the challenges affecting their daily lives.

According to the campaign team, the platform aims to improve communication between Atiku and the electorate by providing citizens with an opportunity to seek information about his policies, question his record in public office and contribute ideas on national development.

The Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Phrank Shaibu, said the initiative was designed to bring Atiku closer to Nigerians through direct engagement. He added that the platform reflected the candidate’s interest in using technology to make governance more accessible and responsive to citizens.

The campaign team also disclosed plans to introduce a radio interface to enable people in communities with limited or no internet access to participate in the engagement.

Atiku, who served as vice-president between 1999 and 2007, has contested the presidency several times. His latest initiative comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The platform is expected to provide Nigerians with an opportunity to assess his political record, question his proposed policies and seek answers on how he intends to address the country’s challenges if elected president.
