
SIR OAIKHENA OSAGIE CONDEMNS EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING OF MENA OGIDI; CALLS FOR THOROUGH INVESTIGATION AND PROSECUTION OF ALL COMPLICIT OFFICERS. Rights activist and Benin-based legal practitioner, Sir Oaikhena Osagie, has issued a scathing condemnation following the public execution of a young Nigerian, Mena Ogidi, in Delta State.
In a statement released in Benin City, Osagie described the incident—allegedly carried out by ASP Nuhu Usman and several accomplices—as a “gory sight” that has no place in a civilized society.
Osagie emphasized that justice must extend beyond the primary shooter. He specifically called for the identification and prosecution of:the Principal Suspect, the Facilitators: Specifically the officer seen assisting the suspect by arranging his ammunition magazine.
Those present who cheered or praised the act while a presumed innocent citizen was being executed.
