I write to extend my warmest note of felicitation to the Timothy Clement led Governing Council of the Nigerian Bar Association – Young Lawyers’ Forum (NBA-YLF) , the Precious Abi led Summit Planning Committee, and the entire leadership and members of the Forum, on this momentous occasion of your 2026 National Summit, holding here in Port- Harcourt, the Garden City.

This year’s theme; “Rising to Lead,” is apt and timely. It is an intentional call for young lawyers to step into responsibilities, rise above limitations, and engage more actively in shaping the future of the Nigerian Bar and the legal profession.

I commend the YLF leadership for consistently building a platform for mentorship, growth, capacity development and innovative excellence. Truly, the NBA-YLF remains a veritable nursery for grooming the future leaders of the Bar.
