Voting in the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association National Elections is scheduled to close at 7:35 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, following the delayed commencement of the exercise.
The electronic poll opened at 7:35 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, rather than the initially scheduled midnight commencement, after technical and security-related difficulties affected the voting platform.
The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) subsequently apologised to candidates, eligible voters, agents, consultants and observers for the delay before announcing the opening of the voting portal.
Eligible lawyers who have yet to participate have been urged to cast their ballots before the closing time through the official ECNBA voting portal.
Voters are required to enter their Supreme Court Number, complete the OTP authentication process and follow the displayed instructions to submit their ballots.
Members encountering genuine technical difficulties relating to OTP delivery, recognition of their SCN, portal access or ballot submission may contact the ECNBA Voter Support Desk through support@ecnba.zohodesk.com.
The Committee has also advised voters to keep their authentication codes confidential and disregard unofficial voting links or requests seeking disclosure of their OTPs.
The 2026 election will determine the lawyers who will occupy the NBA’s national offices for the next administration.
