It is said that the taste of the pudding is in the eating. How do we appreciate the qualities of courage, diligence and confidence in a person unless she gets the opportunity to exhibit same.
In this election season in the NBA, we owe our association a duty to elect a woman with proven capacity to excel over and over again into the Office of the General Secretary of NBA.We have a duty to gender balance the top tier of leadership of our flagship professional body with a woman of substance and character;a woman who truly perfectly fits the role of GSNBA,given her illustrious antecedents, remarkable understanding of what the job entails beyond recording minutes and a clear vision of what needs to be done in new ways. We have a solemn duty to make the right choice so we can be proud of our NBA.
Someone once said,”the greatest men and women in history were not great because of what they earned or owned but what they give their lives to accomplish” Service to others is the debt we owe humanity and we must use every breath that comes out of our lungs to repay it. Joyce Oduah,FICMC embodies these ideals in the best way possible. She will make us proud as a competent, effective, problem solving and trustworthy General Secretary of the NBA.
She is ready to connect all NBA branches across the nation by creating a platform where all NBA secretaries will work together.She has articulated brilliant well thought through ideas.
Together with one mind and in one voice, let’s encourage and support her to rebrand NBA National Secretariat.
Let us remember that when we let our own light shine, we inevitably give other people the opportunity to shine forth for greater illumination.
