Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam-Candidate for NBA WELFARE Secretary sends GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE NBA BENIN BRANCH ON ITS 2026 ANNUAL LAW WEEK

To the Chairman, Executive Committee, and Distinguished Members of NBA Benin Branch, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you all as you mark the 2026 Annual Law Week.

This is indeed a moment worth celebrating; a time for reflection, learning, and fellowship.

Your theme, “Reforming Today, Securing Tomorrow,” captures exactly what this season demands. Progress doesn’t happen by chance. It is built when we have the courage to review our systems, the insight to adopt what works better, and the consistency to follow through. A profession that plans ahead is a profession that lasts.

Our practice is evolving fast. Questions around justice delivery, ethics, technology, and the role of lawyers in society are no longer distant. But these shifts are not threats. They are invitations for us to innovate, adapt, and recommit to the values that make the Bar noble. The strength of our profession will always depend on the strength of its members and institutions.

As colleagues in this noble calling, we share a duty: to fortify the foundations we stand on, defend the rule of law without compromise, and hand over a Bar that is more credible and more responsive than the one we met.

May the Law Week be successful, inspiring, and memorable. I pray it brings new ideas, stronger bonds, and renewed purpose to the entire Benin Branch, its participants, and to the Bar Association in general.

My very best regards,

Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam
