Immediate Past Treasurer of NBA Abuja Branch- Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam sends GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE NBA GOMBE BRANCH ON ITS 2026 ANNUAL LAW WEEK EVENT

The Welfare Advocate – Audrey felicitates with the Chairman, Executive Committee, and Esteemed Members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Gombe Branch as they gather for their 2026 Annual Law Week.

Indeed! The week is more than ceremonies and CLEs, it is a statement that Gombe Bar is committed to growth, dialogue, and service.

Law Weeks remind us that the Bar is a living institution. It thrives when we confront hard questions honestly, sharpen our skills deliberately, and hold each other accountable graciously. Gombe Branch has always shown quiet strength and resilience, and this year’s program is another proof that you understand what it takes to build lawyers who are competent today and ready for tomorrow.

The challenges facing our profession such as access to justice, ethical standards, technology, and public trust all require more than complaints. They require lawyers who will show up, think clearly, and act with integrity. I am confident that the conversations and decisions from this week will strengthen the Branch and set the tone for impactful practice in the months ahead.

As you deliberate, learn, and reconnect, may the outcomes of this Law Week translate into better service for clients, stronger unity among members, and greater respect for the rule of law in Gombe State and beyond.

I wish you a successful, thought-provoking, and memorable Law Week. May the Bar continue to rise through your efforts.

Long live the NBA!

With respect and solidarity,

Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam

Candidate for the office of NBA National Welfare Secretary
