To the Chairman, Rabi’u Garba Esq., the Executive Committee, and distinguished Members of the NBA Bauchi Branch,
I Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam, do extend my hearty congratulations as you convene for your 2026 Law Week on the theme: “A Stand Out Legal Profession in Era of Artificial Intelligence and Codified Fair Legal Remuneration.”

This is no ordinary conversation. It is a defining one. Artificial Intelligence compels us to reimagine the tools, speed, and reach of legal practice. Yet innovation without sustainability is hollow. The parallel call for codified fair legal remuneration reminds us that the dignity of the profession must be matched by the dignity of its earnings.

To stand out in this era is to hold both truths at once: embrace the future without abandoning the foundation. In choosing this theme, NBA Bauchi has shown foresight and courage. You are not merely discussing change, you are charting it.

I must commend your leadership for placing the Bar at the frontline of relevance. May your deliberations be deeply impactful, your resolutions practical, and your fellowship enriching.
