GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE NBA YENAGOA BRANCH ON ITS 2026 ANNUAL LAW WEEK

I send warm felicitations to the Chairman, Executive Committee, and Distinguished Members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yenagoa Branch, as you all celebrate the 2026 Law Week. It is a privilege to join you in this season of reflection, learning, and renewed purpose.

The theme, “Securing the Future,” speaks directly to the heart of our calling. Justice is not preserved by accident, it is secured when lawyers stand firm on ethics, when institutions embrace reform, and when we train ourselves today for the demands of tomorrow. A Bar that thinks ahead is a Bar that serves the people better.

I commend the leadership and members of Yenagoa Branch for the unity, excellence, and commitment you continue to show our profession. Your dedication strengthens not just Bayelsa’s legal community, but the entire Nigerian Bar. May this Law Week sharpen our vision, deepen our solidarity, and rekindle our shared responsibility to defend the rule of law.

Congratulations on this milestone. I wish you a successful, impactful, and memorable 2026 Law Week. May the conversations and connections from this week translate into stronger service for clients and greater confidence in justice delivery.

Yours in service,
Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam

Candidate for National Welfare Secretary.
