GOODWILL MESSAGE TO NBA ETI-OSA BRANCH ON YOUR 2026 LAW WEEK

I, Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam, send my warm congratulations to the Chairman, and all the Executive Committee, and all members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Eti-Osa Branch, as you mark your 2026 Law Week. It’s a proud moment for “The Forum”.

Theř theme, “Law as Business, Law as Justice: Profitability, Ethics and Human Rights in a Changing World,” addresses a real tension in today’s practice. Lawyers must build sustainable practices, but we cannot trade away our duty to uphold justice, ethics, and human rights for the sake of profit.

I commend Eti-Osa Branch for choosing substance over ceremony. By creating a platform for this conversation, you’re helping colleagues rethink how to stay commercially sound while remaining anchored to our core professional values. That balance will define the next generation of legal practice.

I wish the leadership and entire membership robust engagement, fresh insights, and a Law Week that leaves everyone sharper and better equipped. May the deliberations be productive and the week a resounding success.

Congratulations once again, Eti-Osa Bar. Keep setting the standard.
