Candidate for NBA National Welfare Secretary (Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam) sends Goodwill Message to NBA-YLF Owerri Branch on the occassion of its Young Lawyers’ Summit

Congratulations To the Chairman, Chiemeze C. Nnawuchi the Executive Committee, And to every young lawyer of the NBA-YLF Owerri Branch, on the successful Young Lawyers’ Summit themed “Beyond the Bar: Harnessing Emerging Opportunities in Nigeria’s Evolving Legal Landscape.”

This theme speaks directly to the moment we are in. The practice of law is no longer confined to the courtroom or traditional brief writing. Technology, policy shifts, ADR, and entrepreneurship are opening new pathways for those willing to learn and adapt. It’s refreshing to see Owerri YLF taking the lead in creating space for these conversations now, not later.

I commend you, Chairman and your team for putting together a platform that pushes young lawyers to think wider, act bolder, and prepare for roles that demand more than legal knowledge alone. The value of this gathering will be measured in the ideas sparked, the connections made, and the confidence it gives participants to step into unfamiliar but promising terrain. I also commend the Branch chairman and the executives for their leadership and industry to the success of the event.

May the discussions be frank, the insights practical, and the outcomes lasting. I have no doubt this Summit will leave attendees better equipped to build careers that are resilient, relevant, and impactful.

Wishing you, the planning committee, speakers, and all delegates a successful and energizing summit.

Congratulations once again. Go make the most of it.

Yours sincerely,
Audrey Chinelo Ofoegbunam
