GOODWILL MESSAGE TO NBA BWARI BRANCH (THE CRADLE BAR) ON THE OCCASION OF YOUR 2026 LAW WEEK

I extend warm felicitations to the Chairman, Executive Committee, and all distinguished members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Bwari Branch – The Cradle Bar, as you mark your 2026 Law Week.

Your theme, “The Leadership Challenge in Nigeria: The Way Forward, Beyond Rhetoric,” strikes at the heart of our national conversation. At a time when citizens yearn for accountable governance and purposeful direction, the Bar cannot afford to be a spectator. Lawyers must move from diagnosis to action, from commentary to contribution.

The Cradle Bar has consistently shown that leadership in law goes beyond advocacy in court. It is about shaping policy, defending democratic values, and modeling the integrity we demand from public office. This Law Week is another opportunity to translate ideals into actionable frameworks that serve both the profession and the wider society.

I commend the Chairman, the Executives, and the Law Week Planning Committee for curating a programme that confronts hard questions and seeks real solutions. May your sessions provoke honest reflection, spark practical ideas, and strengthen your resolve to lead where it matters most.

To every member of The Cradle Bar: may this Week renew your commitment to justice, nation building, and ethical leadership that goes beyond rhetoric.

Wishing you a robust, insightful, and impactful Law Week 2026.
