TO THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, JALINGO BRANCH
ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR LAW WEEK 2026.
Distinguished Chairman,
Learned Silks and Seniors of the Bar,
Esteemed Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest goodwill to the Chairman, Executive Committee, and the entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Jalingo Branch, on the occasion of your 2026 Law Week.
The theme, “Raising the Bar: Equipping Lawyers for the Modern Legal Landscape,” is both timely and forward looking. It speaks to the urgent need for continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation within our profession, especially in an era defined by rapid technological advancement, evolving client expectations, and increasing demands for ethical and efficient legal service delivery.
The legal profession stands at a critical intersection, one that requires not only a deep respect for tradition but also an intentional embrace of change.
As custodians of justice, we must remain committed to building capacity, strengthening professional standards, and ensuring that the Bar continues to serve as a pillar of integrity, competence, and public trust.
I commend the leadership of the Jalingo Branch for curating a programme that will undoubtedly inspire meaningful conversations, foster professional growth, and reinforce the values that define us as members of this noble profession.
As you engage in the activities lined up for this Law Week, I encourage you to seize the opportunity to reflect, relearn, and recommit to the ideals of justice, service, and excellence.
Please accept my best wishes for a successful and impactful Law Week.
