WORKERS’ DAY 2026.
Today, we celebrate the dignity of labour and the resilience of men and women whose daily efforts sustain our society and drive our nation forward.
Across every sector, Nigerian workers continue to show commitment in the face of evolving challenges. Their perseverance reminds us that progress is built not only on policy, but on the strength, discipline, and dedication of people who show up every day to do the work.
As members of the legal profession, we are not removed from this reality. We are part of the workforce, and we also carry the responsibility of ensuring that the rights, welfare, and protections of workers are upheld in line with the law.
Workers’ Day is therefore not only a moment of recognition, but a call to reflection, on how we can contribute to building systems that are fairer, more responsive, and more protective of the Nigerian worker.
As we mark this day, may we continue to pursue excellence in our respective fields, uphold the dignity of labour, and commit ourselves to a society where hard work is met with fairness, opportunity, and respect.
Happy Workers’ Day.
