Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, has called on lawyers across the country to immediately verify their details following the publication of the Preliminary Voters List for the 2026 NBA General Elections by the Electoral Committee of the NBA (ECNBA).

Describing the verification exercise as an important aspect of participation in the affairs of the Bar, Aare Akinboro encouraged members of the Association to carefully confirm that their names, phone numbers, email addresses, and other relevant details have been properly captured on the ECNBA database before the close of the verification window on 27th May 2026.

According to him, lawyers must remain attentive and engaged with institutional processes that strengthen the credibility, transparency, and integrity of the Nigerian Bar Association.

The ECNBA had earlier announced that authentication details and election-related communications would be transmitted through the contact information contained on the voters database, making timely verification necessary for all eligible members.
