FULL LIST: Badejo-Okusanya, Okoro, Okeke, Ofoegbunam Emerge Winners in 2026 NBA Elections

The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has announced the winners of the Association’s 2026 National Officers and General Council of the Bar elections.
ECNBA Chairman, Aham Ejelam, SAN, announced the results at the NBA National Secretariat in Abuja following the conclusion of electronic voting on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, emerged as the 33rd President of the NBA after receiving 12,317 votes, representing 47.18 per cent of the votes cast in the presidential contest.
Her closest challenger, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, polled 7,934 votes, representing 30.39 per cent, while Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, received 5,855 votes, representing 22.43 per cent.
Badejo-Okusanya will serve a two-year tenure from 2026 to 2028. She becomes the second woman to lead the NBA after Priscilla Kuye, who served between 1991 and 1992.
According to the published results, 26,184 of the 82,172 registered voters participated in the election, representing a turnout of 31.86 per cent.

The newly elected officers are expected to assume responsibility for administering the affairs of the Association during the 2026–2028 tenure.
