WASIU OLAMILEKAN OPAWOLE, a POP installer and merchant cries out to NBA, Nigeria Police and Nigerians generally for help as he claims one Olalekan Olakitan, known as Supo Lekan is after his life and disrupting his business.

According to Wasiu, Supo Lekan, CEO of ‘Prime Contacts’ is a popular and powerful policeman in Ogun State. His ordeal with Supo Lekan started in June 2021 when a friend referred Supo Lekan to him as a client that needed his service. He took steps to visit the site of Supo Lekan where he was to install POP. After measuring and evaluating the work to be done, the estimate was over two million naira, which was eventually negotiated and agreed to be done for two million naira.

Supo Lekan was said to have informed Wasiu that he would make a down payment of one million naira after which he would subsequently pay the balance. Wasiu informed him that the proposed down payment would only do about 60% of the job. Supo Lekan asked him to buy materials and begin work. Eventually after finishing the job and having received N1,570,000, Supo Lekan asked him to exercise some patience till September which was later shifted to November 2021. After calling for his balance on several occasions, Supo Lekan began to threaten Wasiu not to disturb him and he would deal with him.

On a certain day in December, 2021, Wasiu saw Supo Lekan at a bar and decided to accost him and demand for his balance. Despite all his pleas, Supo Lekan kept saying he would deal with Wasiu and he pities his family. Wasiu eventually had to immediately report the matter in a nearby police station where 2 officers were asked by the DPO to bring Supo Lekan in. Upon getting to the station and asked how much he owes Wasiu, he claims he owes him only N400,000 and he doesn’t have the money to pay. When the DPO was curious about his rand and asked him if he is a police officer, he confessed and stated that he is not a police officer. The DPO however charged him for impersonation while he was later released on bail having voluntarily left his vehicle behind for him to rally round to pay Wasiu his money.

On the 7th of January, 2022, when Wasiu was in his bar, he saw about 5 police men who came, handcuffed him and carried him to Sango Area Command. Upon getting to the station, he met a petition Supo Lekan had written against him accusing him of stealing wood and tiles from his site and also threatening him with a gun and stealing his car. Wasiu however narrated all that happened and stated that the matter was also reported at Ifo Police Station. After spending 2 nights in the cell at Ifo, he was later transferred to Sango Sone 2 Police station. Lekan was advised to drop the case for want of credible allegation, his car was also ordered to be released at Ifo Police station. Supo Lekan has refused to take his car at Ifo Police Station.

After all these ordeals, Wasiu has stopped asking Lekan for his balance and carried on with his day-to-day activities, counting his loss.

On the 10th of March of March, 2022, Wasiu having left his bar and on his way home, was called that there were men led by Supo Lekan carrying guns and asking about the whereabout of Wasiu. They however whisked away with his bar manager called Wale to Alagbon Police Station. Since then, Wasiu has not been able to sleep in his house for fear of being trailed by Supo Lekan who seems to be desperate to carry out vengeance on him for daring to ask for his balance which he has long given up on.

Wasiu hereby cries out to all well-meaning Nigerians to help plead with Supo Lekan as he no longer feels safe to sleep in his own house and presently in hideout. Supo Lekan’s number is said to be 07035533700.
