Esteemed Colleagues,

Oftentimes, we struggle as Legal Practitioners, and a painful reality is that many of our colleagues face financial hardship in their old age. This vulnerability is particularly common among private Legal Practitioners who do not have access to, or have not subscribed to, a formal pension system.

The era of reactive welfare must give way to sustainable structures.

If you vest your mandate in me as your National Welfare Secretary, I will prioritize your long-term security by introducing and recommending a robust, structured Pension Scheme. This initiative will be seamlessly coordinated through a collaborative framework between the National Secretariat and local Branches of our great Association.

We must collectively ensure that no lawyer is left behind or left poor in their twilight years.
