Peter Obi receives support from Lagos PDP delegates

A leading PDP Presidential aspirant, Mr. Peter Obi, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, met with leaders, elders and stakeholders of the PDP in Lagos State.

The leader of the PDP in Lagos State, Chief Olabode George, while addressing Mr. Peter Obi and Lagos PDP delegates, noted that it is wrong to exclude people from any section of the country from having the opportunity to lead Nigeria and reiterated that after Buhari, the next President of Nigeria should come from the South. Chief Bode George maintained that Peter Obi was a responsible leader with great capacity who is eminently qualified to fly the flag of the PDP in 2023.

Mr. Peter Obi, while speaking to the Lagos PDP leaders and delegates warned that party members and Nigerians should not make the mistakes of the past. According to the PDP Presidential hopeful, Nigerians must have means of livelihood, because if people don’t know where the next meal will come from, they will go into crime. When you pull people out of poverty you will reduce insecurity.

Mr. Peter Obi noted that his track record makes him the best option for Nigeria in 2023 and asked the PDP and Nigerians to give him the opportunity to turn around the fortunes of Nigeria citing examples of how he managed the meagre resources of Anambra State as Governor but did not owe any worker, pensioner or contractor and left several billions of Naira and millions of dollars in the coffers of the State. He said unfortunately, the Nigeria of today is one where people find it difficult to eat well, parents pay school fees but don’t know when their children will graduate, and after children graduate, they can’t get jobs.
