The Executives of the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Forum under the leadership Yusuf Temilola Nurudeen, condemns the assault, unwarranted harassment and breach of fundamental rights of Mr. Olumide Alabi, Esq., a Young Lawyer from Ikeja branch by motorpark touts on Saturday the 11 day of July 2020.
The incident was reported at the Alagolo Police station and the suspect was arrested. To our bewilderment, the Police didn’t do the needful by prosecuting the suspects but released rather than charge to court while the Young Lawyer lies helpless in the Hospital between life and death.
We call on the Commissioner of Police Lagos State to call men of the Alagolo Police station, Ipaja to order for the suspects to be charged to court and made to answer for their crime.
