The Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, is set to hold the second edition of its Welfare Conference on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the NBA Ikeja Bar Centre, opposite the High Court, Ikeja, Lagos.

The conference, themed “Thriving in Law 2.0: Sustaining Excellence in Practice and Life — From Awareness to Action,” is designed to address the growing need for lawyers to pursue professional excellence without neglecting their wellbeing, personal development and quality of life.

Scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m., the event will bring together legal practitioners for a full day of conversations centred on building sustainable careers, maintaining balance in the demands of legal practice and translating awareness about welfare into practical steps that can improve the lives of lawyers.

Attendance at the conference is free, with members of the Branch and the wider legal community expected to participate in the programme.

The conference will be followed on Saturday, October 10, 2026, by the NBA Ikeja Welfare Conference Tour to Badagry, conceived as a more relaxed extension of the programme, combining history, recreation, bonding and networking.

Organisers have, however, announced that registration for the Badagry tour has now officially closed after all available slots were taken.

The tour package, which was offered at N30,000, covers transportation, refreshments and a branded T-shirt for participants.

The two-day programme forms part of the Branch’s broader effort to promote a more rounded approach to professional life, with the Friday conference focused on learning and reflection, while the Saturday tour offers members an opportunity to unwind, connect and explore.

Members who have not registered for the tour can still attend the Welfare Conference on Friday at no cost.
