The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, on Friday, 26 June 2026, successfully conducted its 2026 Branch Elections, with voting commencing at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at about 4:00 p.m.

The election was peaceful, transparent, and seamless, with the entire process streamed live on Zoom, enabling members to remotely observe and monitor the proceedings in real time.

Ahead of the polls, the Branch had on 19 June 2026 held a well-attended Manifesto Day, during which candidates presented their programmes and engaged members.

While most positions were returned unopposed, the contests for the offices of Vice Chairman and Assistant Secretary generated keen interest among members, emerging as the only fiercely contested positions in the election.

The successful conduct of the exercise further underscores NBA Ikeja’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and democratic governance.
