The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has established a dedicated support desk for eligible lawyers experiencing technical difficulties while participating in the 2026 NBA National Elections.

The Committee announced the intervention in a notice issued on Saturday, July 18, 2026, directing affected voters to forward their complaints to support@ecnba.zohodesk.com.

The support desk will address genuine technical difficulties, including:

  • Failure to receive an OTP by SMS;
  • Rejection or non-recognition of a voter’s Supreme Court Number (SCN);
  • Difficulty accessing or loading the voting portal;
  • Errors encountered while selecting or submitting ballots; and
  • Other technical problems preventing an eligible lawyer from voting.

Lawyers whose SCNs are rejected may seek assistance where their names appear on the Final Voters Register. Those who do not receive an OTP despite having an active telephone line and disabling the “Do Not Disturb” feature may also contact the desk.

Affected voters are required to include their full name, SCN, registered telephone number, a brief explanation of the problem and any error message displayed when submitting a complaint. The information is expected to assist the technical team in resolving reported difficulties promptly.

The ECNBA clarified that the support desk is intended strictly for technical voting problems. Complaints concerning the conduct of the election, candidate disputes and general enquiries should instead be sent to the ECNBA Secretariat through info@ecnba.org.ng.

The Committee urged eligible members not to delay in casting their ballots, assuring them that the support team would remain available throughout the voting period.

The notice was signed by the ECNBA Chairman, Aham Ejelam, SAN, and its Secretary, Ibrahim Aliyu Nassarawa, Esq.

Meanwhile, figures displayed on the live election dashboard at 7:28:40 p.m. on July 18 reportedly showed that 23,072 of the 82,164 registered voters had voted. This represented a turnout of 28.08 per cent, while 59,092 voters—or 71.92 per cent—had yet to vote at that specific time.
