May This Good Friday Fill Our Lives With Love and Forgiveness – Joyce Oduah FICMC

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus at Calvary. On this day, the wrath of God against sin had to be poured out on Jesus, the perfect sacrificial substitute, in order for forgiveness and salvation to be poured out to the nations. In John 3:16, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.”

Good Friday is a day for somber reflection. We receive divine forgiveness, mercy, and peace because Jesus willingly took our divine punishment, the result of God’s righteousness against sin. Paradoxically, Good Friday signifies the greatest triumph over evil and God’s plan to release the world from oppression.

May this Good Friday fill our lives with the love and forgiveness, of our benevolent God who sent his Son, Jesus Christ to die for our salvation.

Let us not also forget to observe all the safety precautions in suppressing the transmission of coronavirus in our society as we praise God at home .
