A 42-year-old man identified as Sunday Ajide, has been arraigned before an Egor Magistrates Court in Edo State for allegedly failing to pay back the sum of N1, 000,000 he collected from one Bright Aighekhuonmwin.He was said to have promised to pay back the money within three months, but failed to do so since December 6, 2013.Police prosecutor, C.S.O. Nnamdi, told the court that the accused committed the offence at No. 28b Ufumwen Street, off Medical Store Road, Egor local government area of the state.Ajide, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Presiding Magistrates, Mr. W.E. Aziegbemhin, granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 and a surety in like sum who must be a civil servant.Aziegbemhin adjourned the case to May 24 for hearingSource :The Nation
