Barely four days after ace musician, Osayomore Joseph, was released after one month in his abductor’s den, a Benin-based lawyer identified as G.C Igbokwe, has been abducted by gunmen.Igbokwe, who is the chairman, Benin Law Week Organising Committee of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) was abducted on Monday evening near Okhuaihe village along Benin-Agbor-Onitsha expressway. He was said to be on his way to Enugu where his wife is said to be critically ill when he was abducted.Edo police spokesman, DSP Moses Nkombe, who confirmed the kidnapping, described it as a very sad incident. Nkombe said the police was already on the kidnappers’ trail and assured that the abducted lawyer would soon be rescued.
