Legal Nigeria

GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, ASABA BRANCH, ON THE OCCASION OF HER 2021 LAW WEEK. – ADESINA ADEGBITE.

Adesina Adegbite,FICMC

I congratulate the Chairman, Branch Officers, Law Week Planning Committee, the Branch Leaders and entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Asaba Branch, on the 2021 Asaba Branch Law Week, which holds from 1st – 5th December, 2021.

The Theme of the Law Week: “Recalibrating the Nigerian Legal System For An Effective Justice Delivery” is quite topical and apposite. That the Nigerian Legal System needs urgent and critical review cannot be over emphasized. We need a strong, effective and reliable legal system that the citizenry can repose confidence in. Our justice delivery system at the moment is in a state of comatose and needs serious surgical recalibration to enable it work for the good of the people and the society. I am particularly pleased that Asaba Branch has made this very critical issue a subject for discussion at this year’s Branch Law Week. It is my hope that the opinions and recommendations of the very resourceful resource persons and the eventual communique at the end of the Law Week will form part of the documents to be considered for the purpose of an holistic review of the Nigerian Legal System.

As a friend of Asaba Branch, it is important that I expressed unreserved apologies for my inability to be physically present at the Law Week. However, I have absolute confidence in the organisational capacity of the leadership of the Branch, therefore, it is with great excitement that I look forward to a well packaged and epoch making Law Week, as I hope to follow the events virtually.

I wish the entire members of the Branch and all participants, a fruitful and most successful Law Week.

God Bless NBA Asaba Branch.
God Bless Nigerian Bar Association.
God bless Nigeria.
