GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE NBA UYO BRANCH ON THE OCCASION OF HER ANNUAL LAW WEEK HOLDING FROM 26TH MARCH, TO 1ST APRIL, 2022 – BY ADESINA ADEGBITE, FICMC (PAST NATIONAL WELFARE SECRETARY, NBA)

Adesina Adegbite (AA)

I heartily Congratulate the leadership of NBA Uyo Branch on the auspicious occasion of her 2022 Bar Week, which takes place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State from Saturday 26th March, to Friday, 1st April, 2022.
The theme: “The Advent of Ibom Deep Seaport and the Prospects of Maritime Law Practice in Nigeria” is indeed a topic that should be critically analysed and exploited. I am confident that the take aways from the very rich presentation on the subject matter will enhance the capacity of our colleagues in Akwa Ibom State and serves as an opportunity to delve into one of the most lucrative areas of legal practice, (Maritime).

I am particularly happy that My dear big sister and learned senior Mrs. Mfon Usoro Esq, has graciously agreed to deliver the Keynote Address. She is not just the most qualified authority on the subject of discourse, her name is indeed synonymous with Ibom Deep Seaport having done so much for the State towards the actualisation of the seaport. It is therefore a natural consequence for me to anticipate a most erudite and inspiring presentation by my big sister on this very epochal theme.
My dear brother, the Branch Chairman, Ememobong Nicholas Udoh (a.k.a Aguda) and my dear sister the Chairman of the Law Week Committee, Eno Akpan Esq (Chairman emeritus) are good example of a pair that have bonded for the benefit of others. I have no doubt in my mind that the larger members of the Branch will be presented with a most scintillating Law Week courtesy of this ‘Siamese twins’ of sort.

I wish the bar leaders, the Executives and the entire members of NBA Uyo Branch and all participants an insightful, impactful and most successful Law Week.
God Bless NBA Uyo Branch,God Bless the Nigerian Bar Association,God Bless Nigeria
