GivingTide International Congratulates Joyce Oduah, FICMC on her Victory

A renowned NGO, the GivingTide International has congratulated Joyce Oduah, FICMC on her emergence as the General Secretary at the NBA National Election which held on 29th and 30th of July 2020. In a congratulatory letter signed by the Executive Secretary of GivingTide, Dr. Abia Zelu expressed great delight on Mrs. Oduah’s victory and offered the NGO’s sincere congratulations on Mrs. Oduah’s historic achievement as the first female General of the NBA in almost four decades. In addition, Dr. Zelu stated as follows:

“It is worthy of note that you would also be the first woman in history from the NBA Eastern Zone to serve as the National Secretary since the Association was founded in 1933.

You are a source of pride and inspiration at many levels – to the Bassey and Oduah families, to CSS Okobo Alumni; to FIDA-Nigeria; to Oron and Atani indigenes; to Akwa Ibom and Anambra States; to Nigeria as a whole; and above all, to women who are striving for professional distinction in male-dominated sectors of the country.

We celebrate and congratulate your spouse and learned partner, Mr. Okechukwu Obiora Oduah, whose support has enabled you to attain this peak.

We also celebrate the NBA, for shattering the glass ceiling, and entrusting you and the other ten newly elected NBA executives with the great task ahead. We hope and pray that under your sterling management, the NBA may experience excellence in all dimensions, including corporate citizenship

The NBA is a leader among all the civil society and professional bodies in Nigeria and the Nation looks up to the NBA for leadership in all matters of national importance. Therefore, we look forward to discussing with you in person (at your earliest convenience) to explore the ways in which the NBA could partner with GivingTide, to secure a better life for all”
