Safeguarding Democracy, Strengthening the Bar: Goodwill Message to the NBA Abuja Branch (Unity Bar) on the 2026 Law Week

To the Chairman, Executives, Elders, and Esteemed Members of the NBA Abuja Branch (Unity Bar),

It is with great pride and warm regards that I felicitate with you all on the occasion of the 2026 Law Week, themed “Safeguarding Nigeria’s Democratic Process.”

As the immediate past Treasurer of our branch, I have witnessed firsthand the commitment of Unity Bar to robust engagement, professional excellence, and principled advocacy. This year’s theme could not be more timely. At a moment when Nigeria’s democratic institutions need vigilance and active stewardship, lawyers have a unique role to play in defending the process, educating the public, and upholding the rule of law.

I trust that the conversations, panels, and activities lined up will deepen our collective understanding and strengthen our resolve to protect democratic norms both within and beyond the Bar.

I’ve been cleared to run for National Welfare Secretary, NBA 2026, and I’m excited to take this vision forward. My heart remains with Unity Bar, and I wish everyone a successful, impactful, and inspiring Law Week. May it reaffirm why Abuja Branch continues to lead by example.
