The Court of Appeal sitting in Ilorin on Thursday upheld the election of the senator representing Kwara central senatorial district at the national assembly, Dr. Bukola Saraki in the March 28, 2015 senatorial election for Kwara Central.
Justice John Ikwegh, who read the judgment, dismissed the appeal filled by Peopels Democractic Party candidate in the election, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, challenging the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress candidate in the election, Saraki.
The Tribunal in its judgment dismissed the petition on the grounds that it was filed out of time as stipulated by 2010 Electoral Act.
Dissatisfied with Tribunal, the PDP candidate filed an appeal at Ilorin Court of Appeal with 11 grounds of appeal.
