The African Bar Association (AFBA) has appointed a Nigerian lawyer, Mrs. Chika. E. Okolie, as Coordinator, Secretariat Committee for Nigeria (Ikeja). Mrs. Chika Okolie is a prominent member of the NBA Ikeja branch who has made impactful contributions in the progress of the Ikeja Bar.
The President of AFBA in his letter to Mrs. Chika dated 20th September, 2021, which was made available to us, stated that the appointment was sequel a nomination by the Qualifications Committee which reviewed her profile and found her eminently qualified to hold the position for a renewable 2-year term.
The duties of the Coordinator, Secretariat Committee for Nigeria (Ikeja) includes but not limited to; coordinating the activities of the AFBA in Ikeja, Nigeria, recruiting members and planning activities in AFBA, sourcing for financial and logistical support for the Association and the Nigerian Forum, and all other duties that may be assigned by the President or the Leadership of the Nigerian Forum.
