Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Legal Nigeria maintains a clear separation between editorial judgment and commercial activity. Advertising revenue supports our publication, but advertisers do not control our independent news coverage or editorial conclusions.
Identification of paid content
Paid articles, promotional features and partner content will be clearly identified with labels such as “Sponsored”, “Advertisement”, “Promoted” or “Partner Content”. Display advertisements will be presented in a manner that distinguishes them from editorial material.
Acceptance standards
Legal Nigeria may reject, suspend or remove advertising that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, fraudulent, technically unsafe, inconsistent with professional ethics or harmful to the reputation and trust of the publication.
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their claims, links, intellectual property, approvals and regulatory disclosures comply with applicable Nigerian law and professional rules.
Restricted advertising
We do not knowingly accept deceptive schemes, counterfeit services, illegal products, malicious software, impersonation, unlicensed professional services or advertisements designed to exploit vulnerable persons. Additional review may be required for financial, health, political, legal and regulated-sector advertising.
Sponsored content and corrections
Sponsored content must be accurate and attributable. Legal Nigeria may edit promotional copy for clarity, legality, house style and proper disclosure. Material factual errors may be corrected, and paid content may be withdrawn where necessary.
Data and measurement
Campaign reporting may include aggregated information such as impressions, clicks and placement duration. Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
