Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has threatened legal action against individuals spreading what he described as false and damaging rumours linking him to the alleged crisis in the marriage between actress BamBam and Teddy A.

Arukwe addressed the controversy in a statement on social media, saying a particular account had been identified for allegedly circulating baseless accusations about his professional relationship with BamBam, whom he did not mention. The rumours reportedly gained traction following the release of their 2025 YouTube film, Love In Every Word, which went viral.

The actor said he deliberately chose not to publicise the social media account in question to avoid amplifying the issue but warned that the individual would face consequences. According to him, the move is intended to serve as a deterrent to others who use social media to spread unverified claims.

“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry,” he wrote, adding that those responsible would be held accountable for reputational damage.

The controversy comes amid renewed public scrutiny of BamBam and Teddy A’s marriage, with online speculation suggesting that on-screen roles may have triggered tension in their relationship. However, neither Arukwe nor BamBam has confirmed any such claims.

BamBam has remained largely silent, posting only a brief video on social media. Teddy A had previously addressed domestic violence allegations, dismissing them as false.

Both have reportedly unfollowed each other on social media.
