Legal Nigeria

THANK YOU SPEECH OF ISAAC OMUTA OGBAH, FICMC, NBA 3RD VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.

St. Paul did rightly say And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them Rom 8:28.

It has indeed been months of intense support and campaign nationwide, and today, we can finally say we gave it all our best. We ran a good race; and can boldly hold our shoulders high as we never suffered any defeat.

The people decided who they preferred and so let them have their way, while we wish them all the best of times.

The votes we got didn’t come because of the sizes and/or membership strength of the NBA Branches we belong or as a result of our tribe or religious beliefs. It was never by reason of any high and/or low connections that we are affiliated to. It was by reason of the leadership qualities the people saw in us and what they believed we could have achieved with these leadership qualities together for the good and betterment of the Nigerian ?? Bar Association.

So, we dedicate every of such votes to everyone who stood by us with good counsel, time, resources, prayers, referrals and good wishes. They were votes well deserved and they belong to us all.

To the great Utter Bar (NBA Ota Branch) I
make bold to say WE DID IT

Great leaders abound in all branches of the NBA, no matter their membership strength and or locality that the Branch is situate.

To the campaign managers and team; the EJSC family; the various NBA branches who warmly welcomed us in their midst; my wife and children; the GSRA family and my very revered learned silks, elders of the Bar and teeming YLF family, we say a big Thank You to you all.

As we always say: We celebrate you all now and always!!!

To my fellow candidate, Mandy Asagba, who was declared to have won this election, we say congratulations.

Now the work begins for all those declared to have won one elective position or the other. It is a big task that lies ahead of you. We will hold all of you accountable on all your promises and campaign manifestos. So get to work immediately you are sworn in.

To everyone of us that contested for one position or the other we will live to fight again and one day we will be given the mandate to fulfill all our cherished lofty ideas and aspirations that we hold dear for the Nigerian Bar Association; and when the time comes we will surely deliver for the good of us all

We therefore urge those that have won to join hands together, you all working with good counsel and support and build on the firm foundation of the Akpata-led administration to keep the flag of the Nigerian Bar Association standing tall.

Thank you.

Yours and always,

Isaac Omuta Ogbah, FICMC
