TO FELLOW CHRISTIAN COLLEAGUES ON ASH WEDNESDAY
Beloved,
Ash Wednesday ushers us into the Lenten season — a solemn period of prayer, fasting, and penitence.
As we bear the dust marks today, we are reminded of our mortality, our frailties as humans, and our continual need for God’s mercies and abiding grace. Let us be reminded that behind every file is a human life and that our highest calling is to serve justice with empathy.
As ministers in the temple of justice, Lent calls for deeper ethical discipline, integrity, and accountability. It challenges us to examine not only our conduct as lawyers but also our consciences.
Here’s wishing us a spiritually renewing Lenten season.
BLESSED ASH WEDNESDAY !
