The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) is happy to announce her Annual Essay Competition for the year 2022 themed “ASSESSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CURRENT DISPUTE RESOLUTION REGIME OF THE AFRICAN CONTINENTAL FREE TRADE AGREEMENT”
This annual essay competition is organized in an effort to harness the creativity and initiative of the world’s youth in promoting Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the ADR global space.
Guidelines for Submission
Essays are to be typed using:
· Arial Font Size12 (Footnote Size 10)
· ‘Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities’ OSCOLA footnote referencing style.
· Word Count: 3000 – 10,000 (Footnotes inclusive)
· Space: 1.5
Submission Deadline: 30th September 2022.

Prizes
1st Position: N150,000. 00
2nd Position: N100,000. 00
3rd Position: N50,000. 00
Winners will be officially awarded and recognized at our 2022 Annual Conference slated for 24th – 25th November 2022.
The best article will be published in our Journal of Arbitration.
