The Alex Ekwueme Young Lawyers’ Essay and Tech-a-thon Competition has officially commenced today, October 21, 2025, in Lagos.

The initiative, organised by the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF), Lagos Branch, honours the legacy of the late Dr. Alex Ekwueme, GCON, and aims to promote intellect, innovation, and nation-building among young lawyers.

With prizes worth over N2 million up for grabs across two flagship contests, the competition is open to young lawyers in the branch who are between one and seven years post-call.

According to the NBA-YLF Lagos Publicity Secretary, Henry Eze, the competition offers a rare platform for emerging legal minds to showcase creativity and technological ingenuity.
