The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced the commencement of registration for its 66th Annual General Conference (AGC), themed “Beyond Limits.”
In a statement issued to members of the Bar, the Association called on legal practitioners nationwide to begin their registration early, noting that the 2026 AGC registration process has been redesigned to ensure simplicity and ease of access.
According to the NBA, individual participants are required to visit https://agc.nigerianbar.org.ng, click on the Register button, select Individual as their registration type, and input their Supreme Court Number (SCN) in full. Lawyers called to the Bar in 2025 are to use their examination numbers instead. Registrants are also expected to select their appropriate professional titles, including Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Attorney-General, Judge, Magistrate, or Legal Practitioner where applicable.
The Association explained that upon entry of the required details, members’ information will be automatically retrieved and pre-filled on the portal, with users only required to confirm the accuracy of their details—particularly their email addresses and phone numbers—before proceeding.
Highlighting improvements introduced this year, the NBA stated that the process eliminates the need for one-time passwords (OTP), email validation, or login credentials. It added that receipts are automatically generated and displayed immediately after successful payment.
Members who are unable to save their receipts can retrieve them by visiting https://agc.nigerianbar.org.ng/agc/members-receipts.php, selecting their registration type, entering their SCN, and downloading the receipt instantly.
The NBA noted that the 66th AGC is expected to feature robust conversations, forward-looking sessions, and impactful engagements aimed at challenging existing boundaries and repositioning the legal profession for greater relevance and excellence.
The statement, signed by Bridget Edokwe, Esq., National Publicity Secretary, assured members of a rewarding conference experience and expressed the Association’s anticipation of broad participation as the Bar collectively moves beyond limits.
