The Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, is set to commence its highly anticipated Law Week 2025, themed “Preserving the Legal Profession for Tomorrow.” The week-long event is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 11, with a Press Conference and Jumat Service.
Activities will continue on Sunday, 13th July, with a Church Service and Thanksgiving at The Bar Center.
The official cocktail takes place on Monday, 14th July, with a Cocktail Event at 6:00pm, hosted at The Bar Center and sponsored by Pinheiro LP. Registration is required, and attendance is restricted to members only.
The opening will be held on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, at Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, with a Keynote Address to be delivered by the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, at 9:00am, on the topic: “Nation Building: Our Role as Lawyers.” The Afternoon Session (1:00pm – 3:00pm) will focus on Young Lawyers. The Dinner will be held at 6:00pm, also at Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
On Wednesday, 16th July, at Providence Hotel, discussions will center on Innovation and Ethics in Legal Practice in the Morning Session, followed by Bar and Bench session in the Afternoon.
The Law Week will close on Thursday, 17th July, with the Alao Aka-Bashorun Memorial Lecture at 10:00am.
