
The Nigeria Police Force has declared Okoro Prince Nkemakolam wanted over alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, assault, threat to life, fraud, and criminal breach of trust.
The declaration was made public on Thursday via a Special Police Gazette Bulletin posted on the Force’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to the bulletin, the warrant for Nkemakolam’s arrest was issued by the High Court of Abuja, and the case is being handled by the Office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (INTERPOL) and the Head of the National Central Bureau at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
“The above-named person is hereby declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force. A warrant of arrest was issued against him by the High Court of Abuja,” the bulletin stated.
Nkemakolam is accused of attacking a complainant with a machete and knife, leaving the victim with severe head and body injuries that required extensive stitching. The police noted that the victim “escaped death by the whiskers.”
The suspect, aged 38, is described as of medium height and build, with a copper complexion and a square-shaped face. He typically dresses in Western-style clothing and is fluent in the Igbo language.
Authorities stated that he was last seen in Benin/Abakaliki, specifically in the Umobo community, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The Nigeria Police Force has urged members of the public with credible information on his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact INTERPOL at Force Headquarters, Abuja, via 080622129151.
