Olumide, who is currently remanded in custody, is facing charges bordering on conspiracy to commit robbery, armed robbery, attempted murder, unlawful possession of offensive weapons and malicious damage.
At the resumed hearing on Wednesday at the Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, the defendant took his plea before the court.
Recall that the court had earlier adjourned the matter to February 4, 2026, after counsel to the state government, Oluwaseun Olasanmi, informed the court that she lacked the necessary documents to proceed with her arguments.
At the resumed sitting, the prosecution again told the court that the case file had not been officially transferred to her, making it difficult to access relevant documents and prepare adequately.
Counsel to the defendant, Adedayo Adewunmi, told the court that his client was undergoing medical treatment and argued in support of the pending bail application.
The presiding judge, Justice Omotosho, expressed displeasure over the repeated delays, urging the prosecution to demonstrate seriousness to enable the court make progress on the case.
He subsequently adjourned the matter to February 5, 2026, for further hearing.
