Delta police disrupt cult networks, recover guns, many cartridges

The Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has recorded notable progress in its ongoing operations against cultism and violent crimes.

The command said its recent intelligence-led arms recovery in Abraka and the arraignment of eighteen (18) suspects in court collectively demonstrate its strengthened enforcement efforts across the state.Related News

Spokesman for the Command SP Bright Edafe revealed on Saturday that in a continued effort to curb cult-related activities and the proliferation of illicit firearms within the state, operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT), led by ASP Julius Robinson, executed a successful intelligence-led operation in Abraka on December 6, 2025 at about 0730hrs.

He said the team, acting on credible intelligence, conducted a coordinated search at No. 2 Umeghe Community, Abraka, the residence of Isiakpere Friday male, 67.
