The Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja has adjourned the child molestation case against Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, till August 11 and 12.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo adjourned the matter after actress Damilola Adekoya aka Princess, was cross-examined by Baba Ijesa’s lawyers.

Iyabo Ojo, Gbenga Adeyinka, and other supporters of Princess and Baba Ijesa were in court.

Baba Ijesa has been in the eye of the storm since April 22, 2021, when police announced his arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the care of Princess.

The defence counsel on Tuesday quizzed Princess on how she came about the CCTV footage that captured the alleged sexual molestation.

Princess said she did not set up her foster daughter to be allegedly molested by Baba Ijesa but she baited Baba Ijesa with a “script conference” with a plan to confront him.

During the cross-examination, the lead defence counsel, Ogala, asked who directed “the movie” referring to the CCTV footage which allegedly captured the actor sexually assaulting the minor.

While giving evidence, Princess submitted a CCTV video that appeared to capture how the defendant molested the minor.
