The Chairmen of all the NBA Branches in Akwa Ibom State have endorsed Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC for the Office of the General Secretary in the forthcoming NBA National Election, scheduled to hold from 29th – 30th July 2020. In a joint statement signed by them and titled “TIME TO GET IT RIGHT”, the distinguished members of the Bar stated as follows:
“Mrs. Joyce Oduah comes with an incomparable wealth of experience and high level competence, and her agenda for the NBA goes beyond just recording minutes. She is an asset to the NBA, an amazon of no mean repute, whose record at the NBA National remains unbeaten by any NBA National Treasurer till date. We are confident that Joyce Oduah will surpass everyone’s expectation when elected as the NBA General Secretary. For more than half a decade, we have carefully watched Joyce Oduah take leadership positions in the NBA and we are satisfied with her performance in the past. As Bar leaders in our respective Branches, we have observed with great dismay, the gap between the NBA National and the Branches, and we desire change. The NBA is in dire need of a General Secretary that will be able to bridge that gap between the NBA National Secretariat and that of the Branches. We believe Joyce Oduah is the only candidate with the required resolve, agenda and skill to create the desired synergy. It is on this basis that we hereby collectively endorsed Mrs. Joyce Oduah for General Secretary and we urge you, most respectfully, to also support her”
